It’s amazing I wasn’t better at gymnastics when I was younger (never could really do a cartwheel) because I’ve grown up to be an expert in walking a tightrope and balancing my various roles in life. I’m foremost a Wife and a Mom, and I’m also a Sr Manager at a Fortune 100 company. I’m also the proud wife of an Army Sgt Major – which brings it own sets of responsibilities in supporting the families of our soldiers. At heart, I’m a couch potato who loves to watch Reality television and anything on HGTV or the Food Network. It seems like what I end up doing most days is trying to figure out how to wear my numerous hats without tripping and falling flat on my face!
Fortunately, I’ve got a fantastic hubbie, a darling daughter (and one more on the way!) and I work for a company who generally values family. Oh yeah, and I’ve cultivated a powerful and very well used ability to laugh at myself regularly. I have more than once shown up at a meeting with one blue and one black shoe before!
All in all, I’m a lucky gal – I’m living the American Dream……..right down to the White Picket fence out front! Granted, the weeds may be sprouting up and the roses aren’t pruned…
